Product Description
Precision casting refers to the general term for the process of obtaining precise dimensional castings. Compared to traditional sand casting processes, precision casting produces castings with more precise dimensions and better surface smoothness. It includes investment casting, ceramic mold casting, metal mold casting, pressure casting, and lost foam casting.
Precision casting, also known as lost wax casting, produces products that are precise, complex, and close to the shape of parts, and can be used directly without or with minimal processing. Therefore, investment casting is a near net forming process.
Process flow
Wax pressing (wax injection molding) - Wax repair - Wax inspection - Tree assembly (wax module tree) - Shell making (first dip in slurry, sand, then dip in slurry, and air dry the mold shell) - Dewaxing (steam dewaxing) - Mold shell roasting - Chemical analysis - Pouring (pouring molten steel inside the mold shell) - Vibration shelling - Casting and pouring rod cutting and separation - Grinding gate - Initial inspection (rough inspection) - Shot blasting cleaning - Machining - Polishing - Finished product inspection - Storage
The general production process of casting can be divided into wax pressing, shell making, pouring, post-treatment, and inspection
Wax pressing includes (wax pressing, wax repair, tree assembly)
Wax pressing - using a wax pressing machine to make wax molds
Wax repair - correcting the wax mold
Group tree - Group wax molds into trees
Shell making includes (sand hanging, slurry hanging, air drying)
Pouring includes (roasting, chemical analysis also known as spectroscopy, pouring, shaking shell, cutting gate, grinding gate)
Post processing includes (sandblasting, shot blasting, correction, pickling)
Inspection includes (wax inspection, initial inspection, intermediate inspection, finished product inspection)
