Stainless steel pipe fittings are a type of pipe fitting product that currently has a high demand and usage, with a wide variety of product models and types. No matter what type of stainless steel pipe fittings, there is a pouring step. What should be paid attention to when pouring?
(1) Pouring temperature: If the pouring temperature is too high, the casting will shrink greatly and the sand will stick tightly; Low temperature can cause defects such as cold shut and insufficient pouring in castings. It should be reasonably determined based on the type of casting alloy, the structural dimensions of the casting, and other factors.
(2) Pouring speed: The pouring speed should be moderate and determined according to the shape of the casting. If the pouring speed is too fast, the metal liquid will have a strong flushing force on the mold, which can easily damage the mold, produce sand holes or gas in the mold cavity that cannot escape in time, and sometimes cause false filling phenomenon; The pouring speed is too slow, which can easily lead to defects such as sand inclusion or cold insulation.
(3) During pouring, attention should be paid to slag blocking and avoiding interruption of metal flow
(4) Before pouring, it is necessary to understand the casting situation, clean up the production site, and ensure safety. The mold should be clamped or reinforced with positive iron to prevent the box from catching fire during pouring. After pouring, dry sand should be used to cover the sprue and riser to prevent light and heat radiation, while also providing insulation effect. For alloy castings with large shrinkage, the pressure iron or clamping device should be removed in a timely manner to avoid casting stress and cracks.
(5) After pouring, the remaining molten iron in the ladle should be poured into the designated location.
When pouring stainless steel fittings, it is important to understand these precautions clearly in order to improve work efficiency and ensure product quality. If you have any questions or needs regarding stainless steel fittings, please feel free to call us.
